4-H is full of opportunities! You can make friends, have fun, and learn new things all at the same time! There are several different ways you can "do" 4-H. Take a peek and see which fits your needs.

How to Join 4-H

Contact your local Extension Center. Your 4-H specialist will know what opportunites are available in your area and will help you find the experience that fits your needs. Once you know what club you will join, you will enroll in 4HOnline to create your family profile and enroll in projects. Then the fun begins as you start meeting with your club!


Being a 4-H Volunteer is hugely rewarding and you can positively influence youth ages 5-18. Becoming a volunteer is not hard, but it is important that you complete the steps as soon as possible, so you can being working with the youth. You will start by contacting your county Extension office and finding out where your skills are needed. You will then create your profile in 4HOnline, comlete your one-time orientation, and fill out your yearly background screening form. Once all of this is complete, your county Extension office will review and get you active.
